Compliments

Hey Guys!

Handsome came up with an idea which I quite like for today's post. We semi-randomly picked three people each (we won't say who), and we have to write 150 words complimenting them. Here are mine:

1. To be honest, I don't think people compliment you enough. You're smart and you're pretty, more than you know. You have a great sense of humour, and I've always admired your resilience. I can't overstate this, you are one of the strongest people I know and I don't think people acknowledge that. I think people underestimate how strong you are. You are also kind and caring. Not many people go out of their way to make sure others are okay like you do. You always put others first, another one of the many things I admire about you. You have changed a lot over the past four years, and I've loved watching you get more confident and outgoing. I hope you never lose your wonderful sense of fun.

2. I love your smile, you probably catch me looking :P. You really are gorgeous. But you are also a truly lovely person. I know that sounds like a superficial thing, and its something that anyone could say after a few minutes with you. But I really truly mean it, from the bottom of my heart. You make me laugh, and I love talking to you, although it doesn't happen that often. I'm glad I have the opportunity to get to know you better now, I'm only sorry it wasn't sooner. Being around you brightens my day (cliched as that is). 50 words left, not enough to say what I want to. Thank you for making me happy. A wish; I want to get to know you now before we go. And a resolution; I will. Look forward to more of my company, whether you like it or not!

3. A lot of this I've already said to you, but I'm writing it up here in case it needs to be said again. I'm still not quite sure how you see yourself, but to me (and everyone else) you always seem smart and funny and outgoing. We love being around you, spending time with you. The things I most admire about you are your bravery and your honesty. You aren't afraid to tell people how you feel, and you're honest about your emotions. I know it gets you hurt sometimes, but I see you happy and I think you know its worth it. You've nearly made me cry a few times this year (and that's not easy) with the lovely things you say. Your kindness never ceases to amaze. I always love talking to you, it never fails to lift my mood (and not just because you're so complimentary).

And here are Handsome's:

1. Our wonderful friendship began when I moved houses and we started to catch the same buses. There have always been some people who have labeled you as a 'nasty bitch', but I see you as an entirely different person. I absolutely admire the way how you stand up for yourself never allowing others to get a hold on you. I envy your confidence and determination to no end. You have always made sure to have time to listen to my troubles and worries, and I thank you for all those times you've stood by me and helped me out with my problems. You always make me laugh whenever I have a conversation with you, and I will truly miss you next year, my beautiful friend.

2.In my eyes, you are such a lovely and fantastic person. You seem to be brilliant in everything that you try at, and your natural ability to succeed in virtually anything amazes me to no end. Your personality is nothing less, and you've always been so kind-hearted and helpful. Even during those times when we hardly knew each other, you never turned me away. You always find a way of brightening my day (whether you intend to or not) through your little messages, your advice, or even just your company. I'm quite sad that we've only got to known each other such a short time before the end of high school, but I am nevertheless thankful for our short but sweet friendship.

3. Where to begin? From the moment I met you in high school you have always stood out from everyone else. You were always so kind, polite and respectful to me. One of the things about you that amazes me so much is that I cannot think of a single occasion where you have hurt me. You were always there for me when I needed it the most, and I thank you for that. Another quality that never ceases to amazes but also confuses me is how you always humble yourself. You even refuse to admit how brilliantly smart or stunningly beautiful you are. It saddens me that you see yourself in a bad light, when in reality it's the exact opposite. I love your company so much, and talking to you always puts a smile on my face, even during my most troublesome times. Thank you.

An Introduction

Hey guys!

This is a joint 'project' by two friends :) We're just doing it for fun, and because we could do it! :P

The name of the blog sounds like a parody of 'Hansel and Gretel' ... :) Also, Joffrey and Sansa as the background picture are 'Handsome' and 'Gorgeous', right? :P Well, this might have been the case until Joffrey's identity as a full-on lunatic is revealed and Sansa gets beaten up by him ... Anyway, the name of this blog reminded me of this scene in Game of Thrones.

I, Gorgeous, (that's really weird to refer to myself as) have never watched Game of Thrones, so I'm going to go with Handsome's executive judgement on this :P.

We have absolutely no clue as to what this blog will be about, but hope that it will be fun and interesting to read. Since this is not a 'ranting' blog, we would really appreciate any suggestions by you of anything: whether it be questions, suggestions or just a random hello! :D
